Maintenance

Sealcoating

Sealcoating is one of the easiest and least expensive ways to increase the life of your asphalt pavement. The weather and atmosphere play a major role in the deterioration of asphalt. Sealer acts as a membrane that protects the pavement from raveling, oxidation, and water penetration. A parking lot should be sealed approximetly 2 months after it's initial construction, and every 3 years after (depending on the volume of traffic). Sealer should not be applied if the asphalt is wet, if rain is expected within 24 hours, or if the temperature falls below 50 degrees.
